PLTW is proud to announce that we are now an official endorsed provider of curriculum and professional development for AP® Computer Science Principles (AP CSP). This endorsement affirms that all components of PLTW CSP’s offerings are aligned to the AP Curriculum Framework standards and the AP CSP assessment. Using an endorsed provider affords schools access to resources including an AP CSP syllabus pre-approved by the College Board’s AP Course Audit, and officially recognized professional development that prepares teachers to teach AP CSP. Earlier this month, we also announced the official launch of the AP + PLTW Student Recognition application process. As part of our partnership with the College Board, the AP + PLTW program provides an opportunity for students to earn a recognition that shows college and employers that they’re ready for advanced course work and interested in STEM careers. To earn the recognition, a student must satisfactorily complete three courses in the pathway — one AP course; one PLTW course; and a third course, either AP or PLTW — and earn a qualifying score of 3 or higher on the AP Exam(s) and a score of Proficient or higher on the PLTW End-of-Course (EoC) assessment(s).
