Student Rostering Update: Student State ID Required
To make it easier for schools that need to report student engagement and End-of-Course (EoC) assessment performance measures to State Departments of Education, PLTW has reinstated the Student State ID as a required field for rostering.
If your school has already rostered and needs to submit a report containing this information, you can upload an updated student roster and the related student records will be updated to include Student State IDs in myPLTW. Rosters can be updated anytime through June 30, 2017.
If your school has already rostered and does not need to submit this information, no further action is required.
Rostering continues to be available in myPLTW, where you can also find a step-by-step guide.

Update: Grade-Level Specific Core Training
In response to feedback from the network of PLTW Launch teachers, we are pleased to announce an updated process for completing Grade-Level Specific Core Training.
Note: All current grade-level credentials will remain in place. It is not necessary for teachers to go through this new process unless they are adding a grade-level credential.
The two-part process will provide access to grade-level modules and Ongoing Training courses.
- Watch the Getting Started with Launch video. Once complete, the six Grade-Level Specific Core Training videos will unlock.
- Select and view the appropriate grade-level video(s). The grade-level videos are built as quizzes in the myPLTW Learning Management System (LMS). To receive completion grades for applicable grade levels:
- Open the appropriate grade-level quiz.
- Watch the video until the end.
- Enter the video completion code in the field below the video.
- Submit the quiz.
This completion code signals to PLTW that you are ready to receive the curriculum modules and the Ongoing Training course. You will receive these materials within 48 hours of submitting the quiz.
These updated training resources can be found by selecting Grade-Level Specific Core Training Links from the Building-Level Readiness Training course. Teachers may complete as many of the grade-level requirements as are appropriate for their teaching requirements.
