Iowa FLL Challenge Event Registration

  • Registration for the 2022-2023 season is now open!

    Please note: Event registration is NOT first-come, first-served this year. We ask teams to register in a timely manner to ensure that Iowa FLL can work to accommodate one of the team’s top choices.

Teams will be asked to select their top three choices of qualifier events.

  • STEP 1: Register Online!

    Qualifier registration is open from October 10-23, 2022. Iowa FLL will use the preferences provided by the team’s coach to place a team into an event. Teams will be notified with ample time prior to the qualifier event with information about their specific event.

    A registration fee of $80 will be charged for this season’s qualifier events. Teams agree to be billed for the event upon submitting their Iowa FLL Challenge Qualifier registration.

    To officially register teams, please be prepared to provide:

    Team Specific Information

    • FLL Team Number (provided by FIRST)
    • FLL Team Name (Will be used at ALL EVENTS throughout the season)
    • FLL Team City
    • Team Shipping Information
    • FLL Challenge Qualifier Registration Preferences and Availability
    • Important Team Information
    • Agree to Registration Fee Policy
    • Agree to Safety Precautions
    • Names of Coaches and Team Members

    Coaches Information

    Provide information for both coaches:

    • First and Last Name
    • Email
    • Cell Phone Number

  • STEP 2: Consent Forms

    Due a minimum of TWO WEEKS Before Qualifier Event

    All team members and coaches must have an ISU FLL Consent Form completed and submitted via the Iowa FLL Online Form. These forms are required to be completed before attending an Iowa FLL Event. Please send this link to each team member’s adult/parent along with the team number and coach name.

    If your team needs paper copies or needs to correct an error in their form, please email firstlegoleague@iastate.edu.

    Get a jump on getting your team consent forms done now, if you have not done so already. No team members or coaches will be allowed to participate at an official Iowa FIRST® LEGO® League event without a completed Consent and Release form. Parents of youth participants, coaches and mentors need to fill out the new Consent and Release Form.

2022-2023 SUPERPOWERED Iowa FLL Challenge Event Dates!

Events will either be full-day, morning only (AM) or afternoon only (PM).  AM events will start around 8 am and expect PM events to start around 1 pm. Remember to pick three events that will work best for your team.

All events will have their own event page with relevant information for the event including schedules, locations and venue details. These event pages can be found using our Event Calendar and searching the town name corresponding to the event you are looking for.
